Lieberman, the Blue Dogs and the GOP SUPPORT Single Payer government-run healthcare... in Iraq
Edited on Thu Oct-29-09 01:45 PM by zulchzulu
It's been pointed out before, but those who have funded the war in Iraq and were adamant about being against government-run healthcare have a slight problem in their moral consistency.

Why aren't these same people, who are resisting government-run healthcare, not about to change the Iraqi Constitution as well as taxpayer-funded appropriations to make it so?

Article 31 of the Iraqi Constitution:

"First: Every citizen has the right to health care. The State shall maintain public health and provide the means of prevention and treatment by building different types of hospitals and health institutions.

Second: Individuals and entities have the right to build hospitals, clinics,or private health care centers under the supervision of the State, and this shall be regulated by law."

If anyone in the media has any level of journalism in their blood, they would ask why there isn't a problem with government-run healthcare in Iraq but it's a "problem" here...
