1. Bury the Dean campaign... didn't it implode 6 months ago?
Or is it just peaking?

Wasn't Saddam's capture supposed to be the end of Dean?

4. I wouldn't be surprised if they did overall.
But there are probably a few eye openers in there too.

5. NBC was trying to make Dean look bad
and if that's the best they could do with all that material, then Dean must be great.

And they're dishonest to suggest there's a contradiction b/w calling Bush a moderate in 2000 and calling him a radical now. The difference is that in 2000 he hadn't taken office yet.

9. The point is that Dean defines himself by his hatred for Bush. Yet...
...only three years ago we saying Bush was a moderate.

It makes the hatred seem, well, interesting.

13. Bush was talking out of his other mouth.....
He sold himself as a moderate.......We say his true colors soon after the stolen election and at 911. He was lying at the time.....

Now we know the rest of the story.....

14. I knew he was an extreme right winger, and I feared he'd cast
himself as a moderate.

If I were running for president, you wouldn't be surprised by my condemnation of Bush now after hearing me talk about him in 2000.

With Dean, you might be surprised.

10. I was thinking that, too
Out of 90 tapes, if those are the smoking guns, not much to it. (Even if I am enjoying the Iowa possibilities.)

8. Still,
its revolting that the media devote their resources to crap like this instead of things that actually matter to people's lives. Theirs is becoming an absurd profession.

11. just sent an email to Lisa Meyers
and the NBC "investivagative team"

thanking them for the Dean tape exposure and wondering when the investigation on *Bush's millitary service records will air.

12. I thought these tapes actually made Dean look better
Loved the "that's crap" retort to 80% of single mothers being on welfare.

Just made me like him more.
