13. When you say that you put me in mind of The Rock
"The Rock" Rocky Maivia from the WWF (now WWE), better known to you now as Dwayne Johnson, movie star.

Barack Obama & The Rock have so many parallels it's uncanny! Both got roots in Hawaii, both are mixed Blacks (Barack = Black/White, The Rock = Black/Samoan), both are rapid rising stars in their fields (Barack = politics, The Rock = pro wrestling), both have tremendous stage presence & charisma, both are excellent on the mic (Barack = speeches, The Rock = promos), and their voices even sound alike! Not to mention the rhyming quality of their names Ba-Rack = The-Rock.

One of The Rock's many many catchphrases was "The People's".
The People's Eyebrow, The People's Elbow, The People's Aisle, The People's Ring, The People's Ladder, The People's Cage, etc.

When you said The People's President, you reminded me again of how Barack is so much like The Rock.
If only Barack knew how to raise one eyebrow during the campaign, the comparison would be complete!
John Lucas

4. There has always been something very alluring....
.... about an intellectual man, confident enough in his sexuality to sit with his legs crossed....

(see Lincoln in the painting?)

.... I know, FOCUS Clio! Focus!!! :)

9. Great pics , as usual!
I'm so glad our President has "A Personality" all his own ! He is there to change the Whitehouse, not to have it change him! I can almost read his thoughts in these photo's! I'm very glad that he has Marvin and Reggie close by his side. I think they keep him real! I'm beginning to agree with the POTUS about "that" belt Michelle wears with EVERYTHING! It's getting tired Michelle, let it go. So far that's all I have to complain about re her. She twirls a "mean hula hoop" Did any of you see this live on cable news? You go girl!

12. This photo encapsulates what makes me proud of the Democratic Party.
The first African-American President, and the first woman Speaker of the House -- YES WE DID! :dem:
