Interesting Turn of Events over at AOL (GOP-Lite) Poll Should Limbaugh Apologize to President Obama?
I don't ever visit the hardcore right-wing sites like some brave souls do. But I do often visit AOL news, and read the posts. For YEARS they have constantly sided heavily in favor of the GOP. Everything that has Obama in it, they have 70-80% been against him in polls. So, when I clicked on this poll to state my opinion, I was very surprised. Is it possible that the majority of Republicans are finally embarrassed by Oxycontin Boy® the same way they are of Sarah Palin?

Should Limbaugh apologize to the president for reporting the false story as fact?
Yes 71%
No 29%
Total Votes: 366,266

How would you describe your overall opinion of Limbaugh?
Mostly negative 58%
Mostly positive 34%
Neutral 8%
Total Votes: 383,038

(Oct. 25) - A fictitious article that claimed President Barack Obama slammed the Constitution in his college thesis had some people fooled into thinking it was the real thing -- including Rush Limbaugh.
The conservative radio show host reported the story as fact on his show Friday after an obscure blogger, Michael Leeden, picked it up from a satire Web site last week, the New York Daily News reported Sunday. But after Limbaugh found out the piece was a fake, he didn't apologize for his mistake. (snip)

2. I promise not to tell 'em. I've heard them say 'he's the most popular radio host' with 10-15 million
listeners. well whoopdee doo! That's 5% of the population - more people watch the opening weeks of American Idol where they have the funny/annoying singers highlighted! ha

4. hi Cha. Yeah, it's a hornet's nest of anti-lib hate over at AOL but there's a lib presence, but the
polls are always heavily favored in the right-wing camp, so this was refreshing to see. I think they know when they've got a MAJOR embarrassment on their hands, sorta like how they acted about B*sh in the last year.
