MSNBC saying Reid will unveil opt-out bill tomorrow
Edited on Mon Oct-26-09 11:29 AM by Kurt_and_Hunter
This is in keeping with several print stories out there. (Like the one about Reid sending bill to CBO for initial estimate)

I mention it because Dr. Nancy was reporting it as an uncontroversial fact story... "Reid will present bill to fellow Dems tomorrow... bill will include opt-out..."

If true, Outstanding News.

1. Dude there are way too many stories running around.
We are gettting info from secret staffers, to anonymous staffers, to fools who are in the meetings but aren't writing anything but who are in the "know" and want to remain anon. We have the WH saying they're liars. We have Jarret saying one thing and Clyburn saying another and we got Reid rumored to be doing one thing and saying another. Then you have DUers taking sides on who's telling the truth and who's lieing, but then I'd take the word of the WH over unnamed staffers or people who are in the "know" but not writing any bills. I don't know what to believe any more.

2. That's good news. That should kill this "trigger" nonsense
None of the House bills have triggers, and if this bill has no trigger than it seems likely that it is dead.

Unless it isn't.

3. Who the hell are we compromising with?
I mean honestly what is the point to this nonsense?

4. Blue Dog Democrats, from what I understand. Certainly the HELL can't be with
the Repukes. That'd be like compromising with a dinner table... they have no interest in doing so. ;) But seriously.

5. Feh
I wonder when they are planning on splitting off and forming 'The Blue Dog party'?

7. Tell me about it. It certainly doesn't thrill me, but that HAS to be who we're doing all of this
bending-over-backwards for... if we're doing it for the Repukes, we're clearly clueless. ::sigh::

8. Rhetorical
Sorry the question was frustrated rhetorical and not meant to be an actual question. Again I apologize for any confusion.
