My daily "Doom and Gloom"...
What does Kerry have to do to gain traction with voters? It's just not happening for him. I know the polls showing 10+ point leads for Bush* are bogus, but even so, Kerry's numbers aren't going up. He's flatlined.

A clear majority surely wouldn't mind getting rid of Bush*. But so far Kerry hasn't convinced them that he's worth making the trade for.
He's running out of time to make the sale.

And here's some flame bait: Bush* for all his bumbling and mangling the language and selected crowds is a better campaign speaker than Kerry. Bush* is an idiot, sure, but he's animated and that works well on TV. Kerry seems to me like he's talking in his sleep. C'mon John, show a little life!

Why can't he show some real sense of outrage when he's telling the horrible truth about the Chimperor? That would help a lot.

1. i don't think the polls can be trusted!
not any more than the media, that's for sure!

what if they are wrong and most of us are for kerry?

what if they are put out there to give the illusion that * is ahead?

what if the illusion is being created so people will believe the lie AGAIN when * steals this election too?

2. Agree on polls.
They are pretty much baloney. But, do you think Kerry is really surging ahead? I really don't get that impression. I think the race is still tight, BUT SHOULDN'T BE.

Kerry needs to close the deal somehow.

7. bush was a better speaker when he first took office
i think the drugs and alcohol have gotten to him. he can't put three words together without sounding like a dumbass. things have changed and i think kerry has a very, very good chance of creaming bush in the debates!

3. The debates will be a key
I do see your point about their campaigning styles, though.

4. Have you ever followed politics before?
Do some homework.

Your assignment is to read about the 1980 election.

Don't post again until you do.

6. I've followed politics for a long, long time.
Obviously, you haven't--at least not seriously. Here's the 1980 election in a nutshell:

Reagan was running as someone who would provide decisive leadership as opposed to Carter's "weakness."

FYI, Reagan won.

Now, Bush* is running as a "decisive leader" against the "flip-flopper" Kerry. And make no mistake, the "flip-flop" tag has stuck. Adding to the problem: Kerry is not the speaker that Reagan was.

That's a big advantage for Bush*, like it was for Reagan.

And I'll post whenever I want--I actually believe in free speech.

5. Kerry does look tired...don't forget he is recovering from Prostate cancer
the treatments for which either surgery or radiation can
take a lot out of a man. The rigors of daily travels in a
presidential campaign have got to be hard on a man in his
mid-60's. But Kerry is hanging in there. I am hoping he will
look more alive during the debates.
