Finance Committee finally craps Baucus's steaming turd on the Senate Floor. Time to move forward!
Those of you who said the Baucus bill needed to be rejected, at least we do agree that the Baucus bill is a steaming pile of shit.

But if it didn't pass out of the committee today, health care reform would be dead. It would have stalled out just like Clinton's health care bill stalled back in the 90's, and we'd be looking at insurance hell and 45,000 dead per year for at least 20 more years, and likely be looking at electoral defeat next year as well.

The Baucus Bill had to come out of committee. Even though it's a total clusterfuck.

But now we get to move forward. Now we finally take the ball away from Blue Cross Baucus and his toady Kent Conrad, and work to make health care reform into something worthy of the name.

Now it gets merged with the HELP Committee bill, and now (yes, I mean RIGHT NOW) is the time to insist that a public option be inserted in the bill as it gets merged before it goes on the Senate Floor. Meanwhile, the three versions of HR 3200 get merged in the House, and will shortly be going on the House floor.

Onward and forward!

1. Hope Grayson stays front and center on this one ~

He knows how to keep it in ABC, 123 language.
That is what we need for this vital push for Health Care.

2. Him and Weiner.
Now that Baucus and Conrad can't keep this bill bottled up in committee, more worthy Senators and Congresspersons can make themselves heard.

9. He's not in the Senate and the next step is melding the two Senate bills
In addition, Grayson may be amusing, but he is not really helping get a better bill out. He is as annoying to Republicans and Senator Demint is to us.

7. I agree
We needed to get this out of Baucus Committee. Now that It Is time to merge It with the HELP
Committee. Now will be when the real work begins.Remember Reid Is done for If a acceptable Health
Care reform bill Isn't passed. He needs Democrats In Nevada to come out for him to have any chance
of surviving.Dodd being one of the key people In the conference Is a good sign.Unfortunly Baucus Is
there too but he can't do the farce he has done In his committee with the Conference.
