If the leaders of the (G)OP and the RNC do not kick this ??? out of the party immediately and preferably before she casts her yes vote, they will never again see even a fraction of another cent from me. It will deprive Obama of any claim to a bipartisan win. This is too big an issue to allow her to get away with this. OUT NOW!

What benefit is it to have her as a Republican? She should be kicked out of the GOP so she can run in dem primaries against her fellow travellers.

The GOP would get better candidates in Maine as a result.

The Republican party should disown her, no more money or support. Let her go the way of Specter or she’s going to bring us all down.

Also, the GOP should find an opponent for the next primary.

Seriously? They think if they boot Snowe, they'll get a more conservative Republican up there?

12. It's easy to understand. It exemplifies her as an "OTHER."
It's a little bit different when someone says, "Black bitch" in regards to Black women----that's just to make describe an inherited double disgust. But in regards to that it separates her from them. She's not an "American"----she's Greek of course. I mean I can't stand Orly Taitz (who I'll presume is an American citizen to date, however on this board it's been brought up---or I should say implied heavily, several times, that because she's not born in the US then she really has no say in the Democratic process. It's a way to break the person from the group and make it seem because they are of the "other" and not part of the "group" these actions are to be expected or it would explain an action on something. It's rather funny to be honest. Maybe it's because I've been treated that I see it as a norm. However, as a note, I've seen this particularly instinctive in Americans than other nations----but it could be because other nations are not based on immigrants so it's part of the norm and not as ironic as when it's seen in the US culture which was built on immigrant populations.

So I guess a woman who is not beautiful is not worth much to them. Typical. I don't think she's ugly anyway--but that is totally irrelevant.

25. It is why they put such a premium on how beautiful they think Sarah Palin is
Not that I share that view, as I think Palin is not attractive. Irrelevent too, in my book, but it is the only thing that qualfies most women to hold office in their playbook. It is why you hear them barking on about how anyone against Palin must be "jealous" of how pretty she is - like that is the most important factor.

Not that she is dumb as a box of rocks, a wannabe quitter out for any avenue to her prolonged 15 minutes of fame, her obsession with making her fortune in whatever quick path to riches she can find, or her inability to articulate a single coherent idea as she spins her bizarre word salads.

Appearance is the only thing that counts one way or the other when these freepers consider a woman's place in their world. Bunch of backwards irelevant morons.

29. Meh...Like Laura Bush was anything more than "plain"...
personally, I don't think she even rates a "plain". On the higher scale, alluding to her intellectual capacity, (Laura that is), I'd put her pretty far down the list of First Ladies.

Snowe is a remarkable woman, intelligent and well rounded...I don't like her being an R, (have NO idea why she is), she is on top of things, even if I don't agree w/some her voting record.
