serious question. what is the health insurance industry's poll numbers?
we know what Republican's are, we see what Obama's is...same with Pelosi, Reid et al. But what is the general approval/disapproval of insurance industry?

1. 75% of Americans want a public option. All? Medicare recipients don't
want to give it up.

I think that should tell you what Americans think of insurance companies.

2. I would just love to see some hard survey numbers on the specific question
because my hunch is if this now becomes a battle between the evil entrenched overlords of sanctioned highway robbery and the forces of light....we may just have a chance to sail this one home and get a big WIN for the people. and of course it would be a HUGE win for Democrats and Obama.

5. do you approve of the job your health insurance company is doing?
and some internals as to which aspects of their private health insurance the person feels is good and not good.

it would be interesting to get the consumer perspective, the medical practice perspective, and the HR benefits perspective.

6. I think the question is only interesting if the person has had to use
his insurance company in the last two years for a serious illness (not maternity coverage). It would be interesting to see the answers from people who NEED TO USE their insurance, not the bulk of us who just pay and get inexpensive preventative care.

4. The answers would largely come down to who likes their healthcare coverage and who doesn't
I bet the majority would be in major disapproval. But a question like this will never be asked because the insurance industry as well as Big Pharma are getting a major pass from the media. They aren't going after the insurance fat cats the way they go after a political sex scandal or whatever.
