State senator eyes possible run for Congress
In the ongoing parlor game to guess which Minnesota Republicans will run for governor and for Congress in 2010, state Sen. Julie Rosen, R-Fairmont, is starting to attract some attention.

Rosen, in an interview this week, wasn’t mystified when asked if there is any validity to the rumors.

“I get a lot of phone calls from people asking, ‘Are you thinking about it?’” Rosen said.

The two-term political moderate said she has been thinking about running for the 1st Congressional District seat currently held by Mankato DFLer Tim Walz. There’s also buzz about a gubernatorial bid for Rosen, but — for now, at least — she is saying that she won’t pursue any gubernatorial ambitions in 2010.
