With President Obama's statement that with-drawl from Afgahanistan
will not even be considered, has he saddled himself with the legacy of being a "War President"? I have begun to hear that term being used in the media. I find the fact that with-drawl is not even a topic for discussion perplexing. What is it we, the public, don't know about this war? Why is it so important that staying is the ONLY option? Given that fact is the only option then I believe we owe it to the soldiers we send over there to do everything possible to keep them safe and achieve the objective, whatever that is. I will be very interested to see what the strategy sessions going on now will come up with.

In 2000 years, no one has successfully occupied Afghanistan. How the heck are we going to be any different? Bring all the troops home, today!

3. The British were not defeated, they give up.
The Russians had to fight the Afghans and the US. We only have to subdue the insurgents, a much easier task. However we will be there for many years to come, at least 20 or more.

7. And here is the sane solution
If you took all the money that is spent on the war on Afghanistan and spent it on developing renewable energy here in the states, not only would we not need the pipeline, but we would put our country back to work.
