Another push poll under way? I ve had two calls today frm phone banks asking for
one of my voting age children by name. Since the kids aren't here, the pollsters hung up.

1. Younger folks are the most difficult to get on the phone. Especially young, male voters.

Some firms try to get those folks first, then move throughout the other demographics.

Smart pollsters don't just take whoever answers the phone or the survey would be of only older women.

If they're asking for one of your kids, they're probably a pretty serious pollster. No evidence here of 'push' polling.

2. The difference is that they asked for the person by name rather than
any males between 20 and 30 or females under 40. I've had two previous calls from push polls here in the NY 23rd.

3. If they want to talk with registered voters random people of a certain demographic will not do.
You could have people in your house who fit the exact desired demographic but they're Canadian.

4. You always ask for 'the youngest registered voter at this address' or
something like that.

5. That age group is notoriously hard to poll: they have cell phones, not land lines...
Interesting factoid I learned during this past presidential campaign season.
