Two ironies occurred to me today: A "Rockefeller" decedent of the robber barons
Edited on Thu Oct-01-09 01:56 PM by saracat
is one of the few fighting for the interests of the people and the public option. The President, who is a proponent of HCR, is in Denmark, which has a successful public health system, and a much higher standard of living than we do, lobbying for the Olympics! This is not an Obama slam. I have no problem with the Olympics. I just hope he gets to do some research that encourages him to take a stand on the PO. If Denmark can have a great public health system so can we!

1. You shouldn't visit the sins of the fathers on the children or vice versa.
Remember the ancestor of the Kennedys was a bootlegger with alleged mob ties.

10. Of course, the Kennedys broke with their father's ways and became
good liberals, while the Bushes have done everything in their power to emulate their fascist forefathers.

It's about a willingness to learn from the past.

100 years ago would NEVER have believed this!

7. I added that especially for you, darlin, and all those who think
ALL posts are slamming Obama. I think it is a fine thing he is in Denmark, which is one of my favorite countries. It would be wonderful if we could emulate Denmark but most Americans have tax phobia. Nevertheless, they live better longer lives than we do.

15. what makes you think Obama isn't already informed about different health care systems?
and the "If Denmark can have a great health care system so can we" line just shows how uninformed you are.

18. Why would you think that I think Obama doesn't "know" about Denmark and its health system?
And how on earth does my statement prove that I am uninformed? Denmark does have a great health care system and there is NO reason we shouldn't have one as well. And I do understand their system. Jeebus, we sent men to the moon and we don't have a decent health care system? My point is, if we really want it, we can have a great health care system too.We are capable of it and have no excuse not to have one.

A side-ways, underhanded slam on him, as is typical for you.
