Really? :wtf: He said this on C-Span 15 minutes ago. He mentioned it while talking about waste, fraud, and abuse in medicare.

Or "honest", for that matter. I keep hearing that we need a public option "to keep insurance companies honest." Keep them honest??? LOL!!! That would be wonderful--if they actually WERE honest!

A corporation is a legal construct. It's a bunch of signed and sealed papers in a filing cabinet in a government office somewhere.

Let's not forget this. Corporations are obliged to generate profit, and will only have as much morals, patriotism, "honor", etc., as they can afford to have, which is not very much.


We cannot forget this. Corporations, in part of their ongoing thirst for profits, invest a fair amount of money on advertising and PR campaigns to convince the average citizen that they have human morals and such... so that they can get laws passed that make them more profit.
