Rock Hill lawyer wants DeMint's Senate seat
http://www.wbt.com/news/details.cfm?article_id=48117

South Carolina Democrats have a second candidate to take on Republican U.S. Sen. Jim DeMint.

York County Democratic Party Chairman Jim Watkins says Rock Hill lawyer Chad McGowan has told his party's leaders he's entering the race.

McGowan did not immediately respond to a message left at his office Monday.

Mike Ruckes of Summerville is also in the race. The Detroit native is a retired Ford manager who also worked at Chrysler.

Watkins says it's good to have a field shaping up to take on DeMint. He's become known for his outspoken opposition to federal stimulus spending and earlier said the GOP could ``break'' President Barack Obama over his health care proposals.

1. Senator McGowan? Sounds like a winner to me! ANYTHING is better than DeMented, & I'm sure he'll be
a lot better.
