Fox News equals the National Enquirer in Cable media...
Edited on Mon Sep-21-09 03:51 PM by Peacetrain
The Obama Whitehouse has them on the ropes. They do not give print interviews to the National Enquirer, the way they would Time... so why would they go on their program this weekend. Would have made no sense

Like a stopped clock, they (Fox News)can occasionally get it right for two seconds in a 24 hour period.

1. No one takes them seriously but Right Wingers
If people took them seriously Obama would never have been elected and there wouldn't even be close to a Democratic majority

5. Faux Entertainment doesn't even rise to the level of a tabloid
Tabloids usually stick with non-issues, silly season, and/or entertainers when they make up stuff from thin air but Fox Entertainment is strictly a propaganda organization designed to attract an amuse the lowest common denominator and certainly Reich Wingers.

6. Have you ever caught their show call red eye late at night
It is exactly propaganda under the guise of "biting" humor? They need to work on that.. they just look strange..

10. Conservatives are just too mean spirited to be funny...
How many conservative entertainers are there really.

Of course Country Music is full of conservative republicans but it fits with the way country music is organized. Think about it, when was the last time a country music star tried to step out of the mold made for them by the steady as she goes culture in Nashville.

Garth Brooks, maybe, Gretch Wilson, although she seems to have found her niche and will stick too it, and Kieth Urban, the guy married to Nicole Kidman, are the only one's I can think of.

The fans expect the same old same old. Usually a country star will just repackage the few variations on a theme that made them popular and just repeat it all the way into old age.

Very few will take a chance.

12. The amusing thing is that even peoples who enjoy their tabloids- like Bits and Aussies
can't stomach Fox- not even right of center types.

Seems they know the difference between tabloid fluff and actual news- and don't take react well to being looked in the eyes and lied to.

9. The "National Enquirer" PRE- Carol Burnett suit,
I would agree with you. The "National Enquirer" POST Carol Burnett suit, I disagree.

What Fox needs to do is make up a story about Carol Burnett - or someone else with the fortitude to sue their asses for flagrant falsehoods.
