White House: "Fox is an ideological outlet...not that whining particularly stengthens their case..."
"We figured Fox would rather show 'So You Think You Can Dance' than broadcast an honest discussion about health insurance reform," White House spokesman Josh Earnest told ABC News.

...

"Fox is an ideological outlet where the president has been interviewed before and will likely be interviewed again," Earnest said. "Not that the whining particularly strengthens their case for participation any time soon."

1. Tokyo Rose
I was recently reading a article about the NHK network during WW11. The tactics used to advance propaganda by mixing entertainment with attractive females to lure listeners in and slowly infect them with lies and hidden messages seems to be exactly the Fox news channels model. Tokyo Rose was tried for treason. Why not Fox news?

19. That's a large part of Fox's technique.
The perfect Fox News show would feature a hot blonde in a bikini working a stripper pole whilst touting Biblical values and a capital gains tax cut.

In another parallel to WWII propaganda, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Julius_Streicher">Julius Streicher sentenced to death at Nuremberg.

3. ABC needs a fact checker
>And he's doing CBS' "Late Night with David Letterman" on Monday<

It's "The Late Show with David Letterman", It hasn't been "Late Night" since he moved from NBC.

11. that, and
"So You Think You Can Dance" is on the FOX television network, not FOX News. So it was a bad example.

They could have gone for the kill and said they'd rather broadcast Glenn Beck's chemically-imbalanced ravings.

24. the sheep rarely know the difference.
for the majority of americans they don't know that there is even a difference between any of them. so you think you can dance was a reference that anyone could get. i think that was the goal.

10. I'd like to see Fox Entertainment blacklisted
I mean completely cut off from anyone elected along with getting the talking heads circuit on the page that if you go on Fox Entertainment that you're cut off. Make them create their own 'Balanced' and withhold legitimacy.

and if it wasn't clear they should only be referred to as Fox Entertainment. The word news gives a false connotation that we shouldn't being blessing them with.

15. FOX has become the defacto leader of the republican party
Edited on Sun Sep-20-09 05:23 PM by niceypoo
FOX overshadows the GOP congressional leadership. FOX's Glen Beck show has become the GOP's pied piper. Boehner, Cantor, et al, are no longer being heard. The Lunatics have taken over the asylum.
