taking over. We do not believe our president is a Christain and he led us to believe that. Our president is a liar. God Bless Joe Wilson."

There ya go-"We are losing our country"="We want our country back." She just went on to finish the thought that everyone else is thinking when they say they want their country back. They're stupid RACISTS.

David Shuster just showed this woman and then showed the DOCTORED photo of the rally, saying some RWers claimed there were 1.5-2 million people there when the official estimate was 40-50,000! He pointed out a photo some teabaggers claimed was from the rally but it was actually from years ago because it didn't include the National Museum of the American Indian which was built in 2004!

Sorry, there is no equivocation with these freaks. The closest could be the ANSWER people, but they were just irritating. I never heard one of them using threats or resorting to violence, which these RW maniacs are very capable of.

And oh really? The obama cultists that told us gay folks to suck it up we knew what we were voting for, after two years of "shut up and vote"

Really - please feel free to take spin after sitting.

You ARE correct, our people don't seem to offer physical violence as a panacea, but's that's the only nod I'll give you.

They are angry white men trying to preserve white privilege and power. Frustrated, damaged individuals who didn't get enough love when they were kids, so they act out their frustration with bullying and bigotry.

I have two in-laws who are staunch Republicans, and that I've described is exactly who they are. Both have tough-love mama issues and never amounted to much. Sad.

...we had bush kissing the Saudi sheik. He walks hand-in-hand with him at the Rose Garden. He damn near let them buy out our ports. And I need say no more about how close the bush family is to the ruling family of SA--not at DU, anyway. We all know.

But because Obama's middle name is "Hussein," they think he's a Muslim.

These people are very, very simple. Everything is black or white. There is no gray, no middle ground, no subtlety.

14. Here's the photo:
Edited on Mon Sep-14-09 03:22 PM by tblue

/snip
"It was an impressive crowd," he said. But after marching down Pennsylvania Avenue to the Capitol the crowd "only filled the Capitol grounds, maybe up to Third Street," he said.

Yet the photo showed the crowd sprawling far beyond that to the Washington Monument, which is bordered by 15th and and 17th Streets.

There's another big problem with the photograph: it doesn't include the National Museum of the American Indian, a building located at the corner of Fourth St. and Independence Ave. that opened on Sept. 14, 2004. (Looking at the photograph, the building should be in the upper right hand corner of the National Mall, next to the Air and Space Museum.) That means the picture was taken before the museum opened exactly five years ago. So clearly the photo doesn't show the "tea party" crowd from the Sept. 12 protest.
/snip

:spank:
BUSTED!!!

I'm very alarmed at the overt racism aligned with stupidity that is raising its ugly head. I'm really afraid for people of color in this country right now. That is why Wilson's outburst needs to be publicly condemned by Congress, and why we need to nip this ugliness right in the bud. Fuck Palin. Although racism has been part of our culture for a very long time, she was the one who made it 'okay' for these fuckers to come out of the closet. I will not accept this!

55. Most of the fundie nutbags who claim that Obama is not a Christian are
themselves as far from being a Christian as an anvil from the moon. And at least as dense as the anvil.

In the first place, there's no Constitutional mandate for a president or anyone else to be of this, that, or another faith. They can Constitutionally be whatever they wish. Politically, there are some that work better with voters than others, granted, but the same far-Right screamers who invoke the Constitution against liberals forget that among the blessings that document sanctions is the freedom of selection and alignment regarding religious faith.

My strong hunch is that the louder a teabagger or Beckhead is screaming, the greater the chance that he or she has not even read either the Bible or the Constitution.

58. We are losing the country
Trillions of $ to Wall St for fucking up the entire economy, the health insurers and big pharma are helping to write health reform laws, more financial regulation will go nowhere, hundreds of billions on defense companies, and foreign wars for oil. Now the Supreme Court has the potential to rule that corporations can directly contribute to campaigns. With the forthcoming carbon cap-and-trade system Wall St will be able to speculate on the condition of the Earth's atmosphere. Millions are poured in to Congressional campaigns while everyone stands around and claims that donations never, ever influence votes. Looks like the government doesn't even run itself anymore - the CEOs are rather nakedly in charge.

No wonder the right wing is so pissed off. It's a shame so many of them are ignorant and easily manipulated. The question is: when is the left wing going to also get pissed off and stop thinking that Obama & the Democratic Congress are going to deliver any of the left wing agenda without massive pressure?
