I think something put the fear of Rahm into him.

1. I heard that he called Obama and only got to Rahm.
I bet Rahm said words to him that Wilson didn't know existed.

16. This was on the wapo.com last night.. "a blow by blow"
from dana milbank..so who knows..

And, this footnote.."An incensed White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel went up to GOP Reps. Roy Blunt (Mo.) and Paul Ryan (Wis.) to complain about the outburst. "No president has ever had that happen," Emanuel said. "My advice is he apologize immediately. You know my number."

2. He doesn't sound so cocky now. He should not be allowed to attend
the State of the Union Address in January. Clearly, he isn't mature or respectful enough to control himself.

17. Really, he needs to take an anger management course
and pass, first..and then he needs to work on his comprehension skills.

25. I like that idea!
I've already contacted my representative and Nancy Pelosi asking that they censure or at a minimum, reprimand Rep. Wilson. Now I will write them with your suggestion, which I think is an excellent one. It will work best if they make sure that they put out some press releases in the days before the SOU address, stating that Rep Wilson will not be attending and why. That would add public shaming to his punishment, which is quite appropriate under the circumstances.

6. A smart person on his staff did the math: $20,000 per hour! And Miller didn't even have to sit
through a boring private insurance company pitch to get it like Wilson did!

5. He never said he regretted it. He simply reported what the leadership told him.

13. I listened to it again. He did not say "apologize".
He said something to the effect of "They want me to call and say my actions were wrong, which I did".

19. No, no. I wasn't being critical. Everyone is printing that he said "apologize".
He didn't.

But yeah, the main point is that whatever he did, it wasn't sincere.
