I just already know that.

He will have been weak, vague, ambigious and with no real plan.

I feel good about this, cause Now I can feel like a Republican too! :hi:

7. I'm saying that I have come to a conclusion prior to listening.
That's what most Republicans do.....and I just want to say that
it feels much more convenient to have already made up my mind,
than doing what liberals are rumored to believe; keeping an open mind.
Now I see why Republicans can say anything!
They don't listen to anything anyone says.
Much more liberating!

3. I've only read the excerpts but I know the speech is a failure. Probably won't even watch it.
The excerpts don't once mention the public option! Four mins of excerpts from a much longer speech don't once mention what I want to hear. This is a complete failure. We've been sold out. Might as well walk away now.

8. FrenchieCat....I wish he'd have 3 stiff martinis before he attempts this
Maybe 5...I'd like to see him slurring his words...and say 'God damned Republican white devils about 10x during the speech. Then I'd feel like he's beginning to hit his stride. He wants people to like him. that's his most serious and debilitating character flaw.

15. This is just silly.
Some will like it, some won't.

Why can't you accept the possibility of honest disagreement?

20. I accept the possibility of an honest disagreement about a speech
that hasn't yet been given.

Is what what you and yours needed for me to say, genius? :eyes:

21. Wow. I'll have to make it a point to converse with you more often -
obviously it increases my IQ. :eyes:

I certainly think it's in the realm of human possibility to speculate on future events based on available evidence. If I'm wrong on this one, I'll be very happy. If I'm right, I'll be very sad. In either case, I don't think my musings will have caused the immediate end of the world. I just don't like being told to shut up.

And what, pray tell, do you think is my "yours"?

24. Meanwhile, we had the speech.
Which was pretty good I thought.

I came away with some major questions about the public option and mandates not answered.

But the tone and the substance were what we had come to expect in the past, and a return from the poor performances of recent weeks.

Also the pukes really, really helped by manifesting their incivility for all to see.

23. Can we wait until we hear it? Why so much pessimism.
President Obama won't let us down. I am going to remain positive until I have a reason not to be.

In my case, because I feel it is warranted based on previous events. But I do agree he is better than Bush/Cheney.
