AP--GfK Poll: Obama Disapproval On Health Care Up To 52 Percent
(09-09) 08:52 PDT WASHINGTON (AP) --

An Associated Press-GfK poll says that public disapproval of President Barack Obama's handling of health care has jumped to 52 percent.

The same survey shows that 49 percent now disapprove of his overall performance as president. In July, just 42 percent disapproved of how he was handling his job.

The grade people give Obama on health care has also worsened since July, when just 43 percent disapproved of his work on the issue.

2. I'm not surprised and I don't really care.
This has been bloody, bruising battle. When he signs a bill, his numbers will stabilize.

12. 45% that voted McSame wouldnt back HCR endorsed by Jesus
Uh, the 45% that voted McSame wouldn't support HCR if Jesus himself descended to earth and endorsed a PO. Realistically Obama's numbers will stabilize around 52-53%, then the ball falls to Congress. Lets just pray they dont cave in to scum like Faucus.

8. The bad number
This other question should concern Democrats: "If President Obama and the Democrats in Congress are unable to win support from Republicans to pass a health care plan this year, what should they do?" The numbers: Go ahead and pass a bill without Republican support, 28%; Keep trying until they are able to make a deal with the Republicans, 66%.

This could make it hard to go the reconciliation route.

9. As the news about the forced mandates gets out, it will tank to near zero.
Especially without the public option as a catch-all for those who can't afford the huge expense of mandated private insurance.

10. The Corporate Media Whores are out there
pushing polls in the lead up to Obama's speech and, surprise, they're not favorable to President Obama. What is the AP-Gfk poll anyway and how reputable are they? It can't be very reputable if it's got the letters "AP" in them IMHO.
