Desperation is all over this forum tonight
Seems like nothing but Lies, innuendo, scandal, crappola, and more crappola. And it's coming from both directions. You think the Freeps are laughing their asses off tonight? I would be.

Instead of trying to debunk every single attack thread, and there are too many on both sides tonight, most if not all without any proof, I think I'll just send a few more bucks to the next President of the United States of America, Howard Brush Dean!

and if you all don't like it, tough. I could care less. Send some to your candidate and maybe cancel mine out. Good. Either way, some Democratic candidates get stronger and it's a win-win.

ABB

1. I just did the same!

The more Dean is attacked, the more money I send.

4. Well
I already capped out on my guy, so maybe I'll send some dollars to Edwards.

Interesting note: It doesn't say much that the supporters have to pay their candidate out of his gaffes.

5. Darn those gaffes!
Like speaking at a republican fundraiser and then running as a democrat.

6. Have you read the speech?
Read the speech and then get back with me. It's not like Clark spoke in front of the CATO Institute or anything.

By the way... "back in 2000"... is that the best ya got? When was Dean's last gaffe? Back in... um... oh yes, LAST WEEK.

14. I read the speech...
The problem is that he gave it during a republican fundraiser.

22. Yes he did
And Dean spoke in front of CATO. What's your point? If you read the speech, this discussion should be over.

17. There were no gaffes
He said what he meant. America is no safer. If caught Osama must be tried, not shot ton the spot. The media wants a fight and they are going to create one. Wait til they train their guns on Clark.

19. Dean spoke to CATO a RW think tank
http://www.weeklystandard.com/Content/Public/Articles/000/000/003/073ylkiz.asp

SEVERAL YEARS AGO an obscure Democratic governor from the politically inconsequential state of Vermont was the guest speaker at a Cato Institute lunch. His name was Howard Dean. He had been awarded one of the highest grades among all Democrats (and a better grade than at least half of the Republicans) in the annual Cato Fiscal Report Card on the Governors. We were curious about his views because we had heard that he harbored political ambitions beyond the governorship.

Dean charmed nearly everyone in the boardroom. He came across as erudite, policy savvy, and, believe it or not, a friend of free markets--at least by the standards of the Tom Daschle-Dick Gephardt axis of the Democratic party. Even when challenged on issues like environmentalism, where he favored a large centralized mass of intrusive regulations, Dean remained affable.

"You folks at Cato," he told us, "should really like my views because I'm economically conservative and socially laissez-faire." Then he continued: "Believe me, I'm no big-government liberal. I believe in balanced budgets, markets, and deregulation. Look at my record in Vermont."

I wonder what you guys would say if Clark had said "I'm no big government liberal" and was described as "affable" about environmental regulation.

25. There's a disconnect between Dean calling everyone Republicans
and this speech that cowers to the reichwing. Did they reject him as a candidate and liberals got Dean on the rebound?

12. I think you mean
a paid commentator. You're just upset they didn't ask Dean to comment on the war... but then again, Dean doesn't have any experience in combat. I think he was skiing, right?

16. I guess he could have hoped for the loss of American lives
He could have cheered for Saddam's troops and prayed for the loss of American lives.

Whore my ass!

18. So anyone who didn't support the war did this?
"He could have cheered for Saddam's troops and prayed for the loss of American lives."

Sounds kinda like that other place off there on the right...

20. Commentary is not cheerleading
He was a military expert, he commented on the military strategy. This was not cheerleading.

But he didn't jump up and down and dance on the graves of American solders, if you want to call him a whore for that, I would like to see you do it do his face. In fact, I will be glad to sell tickets.

13. You're welcome
I really do adore Edwards. He has stayed above the fray, under the radar, and respectable throughout the process. His supporters are generally even-tempered and reflect high standards for his campaign. I wish him the best of luck!
