Ronald Reagan did brainwash a generation w/his address to schools.
Mixed into his address he promoted Milton Friedman economics - tax cuts tax cuts tax cuts - as the road to success. He mentioned that world leaders are following the US's example of how tax cuts and less government is working and is the future for America and the world.

Look what happened. It worked.
