The Right, handed the opportunity to be part of historic praise-worthy legislation, bent over to corporate concerns and behaved like horse's patoots.

From the beginning and to the end of his campaign Barack Obama made it unmistakably clear that he is not a leftie like myself, he is closer to being what is commonly called a centrist. I knew that when I gave him my full support - fully recognizing that he did not hold the same political agenda that I embrace.

I recognize that politics rarely offers for those of us on the left the opportunity to vote for our agenda. It does offers us however, the opportunity to thwart the agenda of the most extremist and reactionary elements the post World War II western world has ever seen. In that President Obama is being very successful, as evidenced by their insane fury.
