Tens of thousands of responses. I voted and it didn't budge. Forget it. Right wing fakery. Let them believe their own freeped polls.

85. all part of our psy-ops effort
to counter the freepers.

We understand what's behind polls like this - nothing. As do the freepers.

But the masses are gullible. So long as the freepers do it, we need to counter.

26. Freepin' the polls and DUin' the polls
Seems like such a waste of time, energy and attention to me. They are complete meaningless BS. I doubt that anybody pays any attention to the results of online polls, anyway. I think they are created PURELY to get all the Freeps and DUs to go to their websites so that the sites can show 'hits' to their advertisers. By bothering with this silliness, you are supporting this nonsensical, non-news, stack-the-numbers-for-advertising-revenue.

My opinion.

76. This poll is a exactly what is going on with the election polls.
This poll was all the way down in the dumps and first post "Forget it, it's freeped, now way to change it." That's what they're trying to get us to do. "Forget it, the polls show Bush winning, no point in trying to vote." and then not voting. But look at the results people, 52/48.

I voted on it around 9 am or so this morning just after the original post heads up. There were around 900 responses at that time.

Now, it shows me 6,179 responses. It's showing 43.972 for you???

Something's seriously not right! (although the 36%/64% is good!)

92. That explains it. But SOMETHING is weird...
Edited on Sun Sep-19-04 05:31 PM by liburl
*DOH* I didn't even check the difference for the question, except this morning it when I voted it had to have been the question you're saying. When I look a the poll now, it is showing that I have voted and only providing me results.

edit: Something is very very weird about this. I voted Kerry telling the truth on Iraq this morning on this poll. When I click the link at the top, I see the different question. I cannot vote though.

96. Something is even more weird, liburl
I went back just now to see how the new question was doing. They have the final results posted. Here is what they say:

Which presidential candidate has a better plan for a peace in Iraq?
* 9169 responses
President George Bush 42%
Senator John Kerry 58%

Thank you for voting. Click here for some background, and send us an e-mail to share your thoughts. Plus, see past voting results.

Now, here's the weird part: I clicked on their link to find the results of the Saturday poll you voted on. There are NO results! Why not? If they have the final results of Sunday's poll, why not Saturdays?

They also have results listed for September 10th through the 16th, EXCEPT there is none listed for the 11th. Was there a poll on the 11th? If so, where are the results? Maybe because it was 9-11, they didn't ask a question - out of respect. But that sounds lame. There are no polling results for the Friday the 17th either.

Maybe they'll have Friday and Saturday's results posted this week. If they don't then I think they should post an explanation.

I'm going to try and remember to check them each day to see if they omit polling results. If they do, and it's a pattern.

Seriously...one in the morning, one in the afternoon, and one in the evening.

It's not just weird, there's something going on.

91. The poll question has changed...
Was " Which presidential candidate is telling you the truth about what's going on in Iraq?"

It now reads: "Which presidential candidate has a better plan for a peace in Iraq?"

At the moment, Kerry leads 64%-36% with 6242 responses.
