2. YAWN. Obama will be. Unless he decides not to run.
No one will challenge him. Unless you want to give the Presidency to the Republicans

10. No, I think the repugs will have a credible canadate ready to run in that time.
All he has to do is to attract enough repugs and independents over to him as disaffective dems just sit on their hands and stay home.

5. Why don't you wait until Obama gives his speech Wednesday??
Quit listening to the pundits and the rumors about what Obama might or might not do. Contact the White House with your frustrations and demand a public option. That's what I did.

20. I love Obama. But...it's pretty clear he's not going to stamp his fist on the
podium and say anything less than a robust public option will get a veto. Even if he did, no one would believe it. Idle threat.

But he HAS said that he'll get SOME SORT of bill. So.....

But I'll wait and see. Still, it's not looking good.

Or are you so gullible that you take all of the media rumors and nonsense stories from Politico at face value?

No I didn't think so - and Keith didn't say he had any sources saying that either -

he's just trying to ratchet up the temperature.

22. I get your point. But I don't think he's given in just yet. He is making those sounds, though.
I will agree to that.

But September is an important month. I think he's been holding back to let things hash themselves out in Congress and for the citizens to have hissy fits and such. And see where things go.

I think this will be a huge month. We should find out soon.

Remember that Obama is of the opinion that a public option is a minor part of any health care reform. I don't know why he thinks that. But he seems surprised that others are making such a big deal out of it. So I don't think he was prepared to go to the mat over what he considers a small part of the bill.

He now knows, tho, that the citizens consider the public option a HUGE issue. So we'll see.

27. Obama wins two terms. Among many other fine things it means 8 years
of Obama's judicial appointments and some serious court-shaping as a result.
