1. The lion never showed any pain....
Although he was the oldest person in the picture # 6, I believe he had the most energy. I feel like the uncle that always mentored me and showed me the way to go just passed away.

3. Me too, it feels personal. Teddy was in the Senate from the
time I was a toddler - I literally can't remember a time without him.

10. He was elected to the US Senate the year my mom was born...
The morning I found he passed away I called her up and said "well our friend Ted passed away..." because that is what I felt he was, a friend. Not only a friend but also a mentor. Anyone that had them as their mentor was a very lucky person. I could see him hitting me on the back with his Boston accent without ever meeting him and hearing him say "Do it... Just do it...don't be afraid." Thank you Ted.

6. Read this
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/32576055/ns/politics-the_new_york_times/ and you may stop crying, or at least smile through the tears. It did for me at least.

And speaking of crying, the picture you like reminds me of the cartoon that was all over the place yesterday, with the 3 older/younger brothers in a boat in the clouds and a stooped and cane-leaning Teddy being helped in by one of the brothers. I find that drawing absolutely heart-breaking...

15. I forwarded that cartoon to all my friends. I printed it out and will find a nice
frame for it. It is the BEST tribute to Ted I've seen so far.

9. Picture #4 Will Become Another Iconic Kennedy Photograph
and not to cast a pall over this thread, but someone ought to send number 8 to Max Baucus and tell him that he should be ashamed of himself...
