Scandals everywhere...
All hell is breaking loose today. Most of it coming from the Dean campaign, but some isn't.

Dean campaigns authorizes fliers in NH saying Clark is a war loving puke.

Dean campaign leaves fliers on cars in IA saying Kerry voted for a Bush Tax that he didn't vote for.

Suspicion of Dean campaign calling voters saying Kerry has cancer.

Dean campain pumping people into Iowa to defraud the caucus.

Dean campaign sending spies into Kerry HQ.

Someone faxing voters in IA saying Dean wants marriage for pedophiles and other nasty stuff.

Not good

1. I'm tired of politics as usual
Anyone remember the line in the movie "Contact" with Jody Foster? Something about "I always thought the world is what we make of it"

3. Dean desperation
After seeing all the new polls showing him losing significant support, this is the response. It isn't pretty.

Are we witnessing the beginning of the collapse of the Dean campaign?

4. No.
Takes a lot of collapse to eat up $40 million.

That's less than Clark.

20. got a link?
because no one has reported their situation yet.

According to Opensecrets, Dean had 12.5 mil on hand at the beginning of the last quarter. He added 15.3, leaving a total of 27.8

I find it very hard to believe that he's spent 18.3 mil in this quarter.

8. Dean knows how to handle a surplus
At the Florida convention, he blew 50grand on a ballroom. Clark supporters met up in the parking lot. 50grand v.s free venue.

9. This is just too over the top..
although I haven't decided who to vote for in the primaries. I find it hard to believe that the Dean campaign would have to stoop so low.. He's the front runner, he doesn't have the need to fight this dirty. I think GOP operatives are planting this stuff to smear and destroy him. I think they are ready to dump Bush and Clark is their new man.

12. Dean is plunging in the polls.
He's desperate. He now has handlers, just like the chimp. He sticks his foot in his mouth every time he opens it. He lies. He flip-flops on issues. CNN showed the flyer his people were handing out. GUILTY as charged. I knew there was something MORE I didn't like about Dean.

I'll bet Rove's fingers are all over these things. Pull enough dirty tricks and the Democrats whose candidates don't get the nomination will be too bitter to get behind the nominee.

17. Grassroots run amok?
Seriously, this has been one of my concerns for a while now. When "grassrooters" are left to do as they please to support their candidate, they may not always do things that the campaign would like to have done. This could be true of anyone's supporters. I think that is one of the dangers that comes from what everyone is calling this new way of handling political races. What do you think?

21. That's my opinion too
That's one reason that I have never complained about the so-called "top down" set-up in our campaign. I have been advised many many times of things NOT to do b/c of its reflection on our campaign.
