Made this point on Scarborough show OLD Joe couldn't answer the question looking dumb founded.

1. The insurance companies aren't bringing ANYTHING to the table.
Their money has bought and paid for the undying loyalty of Congress. They've already done their work.

2. he was completely without a response
tried to say he couldn't believe what Weiner was saying and was speechless . . . but he was without a response - and he knew it. Had to cut to a break at one point.

But he kept claiming Weiner was trying to put the insurance companies out of business with his support of a public option - I was shocked that Weiner did not reply that this competition would be good and would drive the costs down and need not necessarily lead to the collapse of the insurance companies. This is the logical response to a capitalistic supporter.

5. Weiner OWNED that debate this morning
So much so that even Mika and Joe had to hand it to him and ADMIT that he made sense.

Wish HE was the president.
