Ross: I refuse to kill old people
Edited on Sun Aug-16-09 03:05 PM by Mass
Who wants to kill old people? Except those Republicans who do not want Medicare?

I guess we can thank Ross for spreading rumors a little bit more.

...
can tell you, I've laid down my set of principles, so I will not force government-run health care on anyone. If there ever is government-run health care, the first ones to sign up should be the president and every member of Congress, including myself. You should be able to keep the insurance you've got today, if you like it, and always choose your own doctor. No federal funding for illegal immigrants or for abortion, and no rationing of health care. I will never vote for a bill to kill old people, period.
...

On another side, these stats (HT to Digby) show the US with an infantile mortality of more than 3 times Singapore, and higher than France and the UK. Does the GOP refusal to support a good healthcare bill mean they want kill babies?

2. they do?
Medicare is govt run insurance(as opposed to care itself), but when did federal employees get a governement run system? I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure they just get the Governement pool to bargain price for them in getting into private insurance.

6. Do you have reference on that?
Its my understanding they get a choice of many private options. Like Blue Cross, Kaiser, etc. That's not govt run. The VA and Medicare are Govt run.
