but for Single Payer.

Whatever we come up with here should have the added pressure of that if it doesn't get cost under control and get everyone coverage that in 10-12 years Single Payer would be immediately triggered.

That would really make all parties do as close to the right thing or face being muscled out. This would allow the market based crap to have a chance to fix this BUT demands accountability with a ready made correction just over their shoulders.

That should be what Single Payer purists should really be pushing and what I'd say is a substantial compromise from across the spectrum.
