Phil Parlock sign scam--disappeared from Google index?

Maybe I'm hallucinating, but I could swear that Google was retrieving tons of blog entries and articles (i.e. Will Pitt's and Michelle Malkin's pieces) about Parlock and his "hobby." It's all gone. If I do a search on "phil parlock" in Google, I get a handful of hits, all of them reflecting Phil's presence in Google as it was over a week ago. Yes, I deleted my cache and history just to make sure that wasn't effecting it. Yahoo search has over 1,000 entries about Phil, including all of the blogs and articles.

Tech savvy people, is it just my computer? I didn't think it was possible to request that pages be removed from Google unless the request came from either the site owner or a content owner. Could someone get a lawyer and scare Google into "erasing" them?

1. maybe before you searched under "News" and this time

you're searching on the main page?

If you search under "News" using "phil parlock" you'll get the Will Rivers Pitt article.

2. Yes, the same news articles are there, but the regular search

has been altered. You could also find mentions in DU and Atrios in the regular search. These entries are gone. Either that or my computer is a time machine.

3. I just got 837 entries on Google,

including some blogs, bulletin boards, and DU.
