So Issa argues that Canada and France spend less on Health Care than
the US so that is why we should let the system alone.

WTF!

I can't believe the crap that comes out of their mouths.

And Bill Maher is just letting them jump all around without saying anything except talking point.

1. They pay less, so we shouldn't copy them? Huh.

2. That isn't what he said
He said we have to reduce the cost of our health care system because we can't compete spending so much on health care. He kept talking about how much less France and Canada spend - but couldn't make the connection to the profit of the insurance and pharmaceutical industry. That's the crazy part.

5. I know that is what he said but he also didn't offer any alternative
to the current system so therefor, he must support the current system of for profit health care...

14. He proposed buying into FEHB
Which is rather hysterical because that's basically what the insurance gateway is.

The frustrating part is that Maher didn't call the stupidity. "Issa, we can't compete because our health care is too expensive. You want FEHB expanded so that more people can buy cheaper insurance. Why isn't a gateway just as good?" That's what Maher should have said.

3. OK, so they spend less...
They do spend it more intelligently...

And they get a whole lot more bang for the buck!

Oh yeah, we should leave our system alone, all right! :eyes:

This is what comes of having Republicans running the local school boards...

Damn.

4. Great observation. The repukes have been sabotaging this country starting at the local..
seemingly less relevant levels. They are like that insidious mold that makes houses unlivable...by the time you notice it, it may be too late to do anything but have the entire house demolished.

6. Bill Maher's an ass. The repuke called us the "democrat" party
and of course Maher is so into himself he said nothing

Whenever these asshole call us the "democrat" party, that is their code word that we aren't Democratic, and thus a backword way of calling us nazis

I couldn't sit through the crap, and when huffington started making nicey nicey with them, it all came back to me how much of a rethug she used to be

For a lot of people, there are no principles, just money

15. So great to see Arianne and the two wingnuts in agreement on just about everything!
What an enlightening show that was. It would have been nice for Bill to have one intelligent Democrat to counter to the two wingnuts.

16. Maher does that all the time.
He brings on conservatives and never challenges their BS and then turns around and attacks Obama for being too moderate. The guy is a hypocrite.
