It can be a simple box you check on your tax return.

___ I disapprove of Americare and wouldn't take it if you offered it to me on a silver platter for the next 5 years.

Just so if these assholes lose their jobs and get seriously ill they can be sure to die and lose their homes for their cause.

1. I like the name, but it wouldn't work. We'd end up paying for their ER care.
That's the whole point. To get uninsured people health care, so they don't end up in critical condition in an ER somewhere, costing the taxpayers tens of thousands of dollars, when a $60 bottle of pills would've worked.

3. Oh no- If you opt out of Americare then you are on your own when it comes to ER bills!
You WOULDN'T HAVE ER bills if you had Americare to begin with. Or, you might have them, but you'd be covered. Oh no, no, my friend, those tea baggers and those who feel so strongly about the anathema of "socialized healthcare" must pay the piper on their own. Are there no workhouses?

4. I know and we HAVE to correct that.
I would like an answer from any credible person about those time frames, especially since rescission and prior conditions can take place with a stroke of the pen the day the bill is signed.

5. I agree the insurance reforms needs to happen much sooner
Edited on Fri Aug-07-09 08:54 PM by SpartanDem
but the overall time line is not unreasonable when you consider the complexity of the task, you're talking about setting up a bureaucracy, to regulate insurance on a national level and run the public option.

Here are some relevant parts bill that deal setting the governance of reform
