The 6th Poorest State in the Nation May Call in National Guard due to Cuts to Law Enforcement

The most populous Alabama county currently has 1006 county workers laid off, the sheriff has had to sue to stop an additional 4.1 million to be cut from his department.

They won't close the prisons, instead transferring more prisoners into the badly overcrowed Alabama prison system.

This is a mess. The federal government isn't forcing the National Guard on this county. They are thinking of calling the guard in because they don't have the money to pay for their security.

This should be on the front page news and Olbermann should do a special comment. THIS is the reality of poverty in this nation.
