Rathergate
The Rove machine is in high gear.

I am very pessimistic about Kerry's chances now. So much distraction. I remember when there was hailing of Rather as a hero just a week ago here. Not me. I was holding my breath and now this.

What a shame.
Help me out of this funk.
Where is the good news?

:(

1. Oh, butch up already.
You're despondent on account of a GOPee press release? Whatever.

You want good news? Bush is on the defensive. He's answering charges about his pathetic record. This is nothin' but good for Kerry.

5. Kerry is ahead at electoral-vote.com. This is not touching him.
He's a closer and he's begun the turnaround. The race has tightened once again. Kerry is out more (Letterman, Regis, etc) and we have three debates! Chin up. Rathergate won't even touch Kerry.

10. You're looking in all the wrong places.
Me? I'm optimistic. Until I have a reason not to be. And that reason just hasn't come yet. First step? Stay away from that spin site. :hi:

12. One more thing
don't be adopting any republican "slogans" for this situation.

We feed into that -- we adopt slogans for situations that hurt Democrats - but the RW resists slogans for situations that hurt Republicans.

For example -- Abu Ghraib prison abuse scandal is a mouthful. That never got a slogan. It was never called "PrisonGate" or "AbuseGate" anything else.

Yet, Kerry is called a flip flopper. The RW started it and the media sucked it up.

Don't suck up these names about the National Guard memos that CBS can't verify the authenticity about.....
