1. My sentiments exactly.
They're less than useless. They're destructive. They have to GO.

2. I agree with you in spirit
However, being from Nebraska, I am glad to have Nelson elected. If it was not him, I can all but guarantee it would be a Republican. Thus, I have accepted the fact that no matter who we elect, they will support the right MUCH more than not. However, he does serve the purpose of adding to our majority and ensuring we set the agenda. Unfortunately, that is about the best we can hope for in this state.

6. I just did
A dem counts towards us having the majority, being able to select who leads what comittees and what the agenda is. I am pretty damn happy to have that power.

Again, you and I can have our pie-in-the-sky dreams, but the simple fact is that this is the best we can get from Nebraska. Boot him and expect Pete Ricketts to join the Senate and throw 100% of his weight to the right and add their numbers.

9. It matters when it's your Senator
After Katrina, for example, it helped to have at least one Senator who wasn't intent on kissing the Bush Administration's ass and actually interested in the interests of her constituents. Mary Landrieu comes from a long line of Democrats and if Louisiana were any less red, she would vote the party line far more. But the unfortunate reality is that it went to McCain 59-41.

What bothers me are the Dianne Feinsteins and the Joe Liebermans who represent dark blue states but still don't vote the right way on core issues.

14. Joe could be a lot more liberal here in CT. He was reelected by Rethugs and loyal old followers
Next time he many not be so lucky. However, we may loose Dodd and get a Rethug in...yuck. At least most of our Rethugs are moderates here.

5. With the rate he is moving
we could have been better electing a republican instead of him because all he
has shown us is that he is a corporate hack, no difference with a republican.

3. They seem to vote right along with my Senators:
Coburn and Inhoffe

My mind is buzzing. It won't work anymore. I once thought I was a little bit smart - no more. No more answers about how our government works and doesn't work......

7. Where were they? Voting happily for the war spending, that's where.
Blue dogs are nothing but wolves in sheep's clothing. Very poorly tailored sheep's clothing.

8. Is it OK when "Democrats" ram "War Spending" down our throats?
The "Democrats" INCREASED Military Spending this year.

"There are forces within the Democratic Party who want us to sound like kinder, gentler Republicans. I want us to compete for that great mass of voters that want a party that will stand up for working Americans, family farmers, and people who haven't felt the benefits of the economic upturn."---Paul Wellstone

10. We don't need Republicans and for the most part those of the ilk above
already represent any of the Republican principles that are valid in a liberal democracy.

It would be great to have to deal with this sort than the batshit zombies that are the Republiccans.

Hell, if we could eliminate the Republicans and swap them with the Blue Dogs then the government could actually function. I don't agree with the kats but at least they believe in government and aren't spending every spare moment trying to run individual behavior.

I fully support a swap out.

12. I think that is sort of the point. They want this to turn in to a display
of "look, Dem's vs. Blue Dogs is plenty good for us to not get anything done, no need to elect any pukes".

15. Yuck. Thankfully Obama did not go that route although it would have taken him out of the Senate.
However, he may not have worked well with Obama and would have been looking towards 2016 all the time.
