Want to see what Republicans think of the 46 million uninsured?
Edited on Tue Jul-28-09 01:33 PM by and-justice-for-all

Republicans want to stop President Obamas health insurance reform legislation at any cost. They want to make sure the special interests groups that have been filling their coffers for the last ten years know they can depend on Congressional Republicans to kill real health insurance reform.

But they really hate being called out on it.

Last week they viciously attacked anyone who denounced comments from South Carolina Republican Senator Jim Demint after he said Republicans would make health insurance reform President Obamas "Waterloo."

The same people whove blocked any meaningful reform for the last fifteen years are now telling us that there hasnt been enough debate and that we can wait months or years before we pass health insurance reform. Their goal isnt to reduce costs or to cover the millions of Americans without health insurance. No, their goal is to slow down health insurance reform to the point where it becomes dead in its tracks - even as 14,000 Americans lose their health insurance every day.

Were known for our tough ads and were not scared of a fight. Together we helped stop President Bushs reckless privatization of Social Security and now were going after the right-wing critics of President Obamas health insurance reform every day. But, we need your help to get our ad onto more television screens.

Will you watch our new ad and donate to get it into more living rooms? And be sure to share it with your friends.

Our ad is already getting results. Activists have been applauding the ad, and just this morning the organization tasked with electing Republican members of Congress attacked us directly for running this ad, claiming that the GOP are not obstructionists.

Can you pitch in $25, $50 or even $100 dollars to expand our ad buy into the states where right-wing politicians are trying to kill President Obamas health care plan?

Every $25, $50, $100 or more you can donate helps us increase our advertising budget in targeted states where we can make a difference in the health care debate. Our window to make history is short and we need to hold President Obamas right-wing critics accountable before they can derail real health insurance reform.

Sincerely,

Jeremy Funk

They lie and keep using the same "47 million" people uninsured figure that they been using & quoting since 2000.

As if the total of uninsured people hasn't gone up since 2000 (eight years of Bush & the republicans, get real! (now this republican caused depression we are now going through). What bullshit! That figure is still going up and has been going up every day for years.

In 2000 is when they first started using the "47 million" uninsured figure...(not to mention the millions of under-insured and people who get very little for their over priced insurance).

This 47 million uninsured is purposely low and is complete and utter BULLSHIT!

Republicans & blue dogs will do anything to put off a public option Universal Health Care all for insurance corporations massive profits and no competition.
