Ad will no longer air anywhere in State of SC

Columbia – Today, two major cable providers in South Carolina decided to pull down a false television advertisement purchased by the DNC attacking Senator Jim DeMint. After reviewing the legal arguments presented by attorneys for DeMint for Senate, both Charter Media in Greenville, SC and Cable Vantage in Columbia, SC have pulled the ad from circulation.

As of this afternoon, this untrue attack ad will no longer run on television anywhere inside the State of South Carolina.

Senator DeMint said, “The President’s ad was both false and misleading and I am grateful it is off the South Carolina airwaves. Looking forward, my hope is that the President will engage in an honest debate of ideas to truly reform America’s health care system.”

We don't get state-level commercials. I live near the border and get my local TV out of Disgusta, GA, so I might not have seen it anyway. But sadly, this is how shitbags like DeMented get elected and reelected...

UPDATE: The DNC says one of the companies, Charter Media in Greenville, has agreed to put the ads back up, though I was unable to confirm that and DeMint's camp has not been told it.

UPDATE: The two sides still dispute whether the Greenville ad is airing, and I haven't heard from the cable company.

But the DNC is removing the "no plan" claim from the Columbia version and putting it back on the air. That "means they had to pull the ad and start over. It was an ad full of falsehoods and the boys and girls at the DNC should know better," said DeMint spokesman Luke Byars.
