Indeed, if we surrendered U.S. dominance in healthcare costs, then what would happen to that $2,000 margin the U.S. currently enjoys? For a family of four, that is an average of $8,000 that the family might then waste on stuff like housing, food and consumption.

So, you have to admit that President Obama's proposal to surrender U.S. dominance in healthcare is somewhat radical.
