Healthcare Reform and Economic Recovery are inextricably entwined
I find it moronic for media types to say, "we need to get the deficits under control and then address healthcare" or "American people are more concerned with jobs than healthcare."
We won't GET deficits under control unless we rein in spiralling health care costs and we will have MORE job loss and more bankrupcies and more foreclosures and more bank failures unless we stop this one for-profit sector from cannibalizing and consuming for itself the entire economic well-being of the country and its citizens.
I hope this is the message that President Obama hammers home tonight.
I'll bet you a majority of walking around Americans don't understand the phrase "inextricably entwined." I think we should just pitch Health Care Reform by saying "Its got electrolytes!!!!!!"
And ANYONE who isn't in favor of fixing health care cannot claim that they are serious about fixing the economy. Of course, Republicans and Blue Dogs can't walk and chew gum at the same time, so doubt they're capable of understanding Cause and Effect.
