Am I missing the part where he worked on health care somewhere in there?
Second, and I understand he isn't DIRECTLY related to the state of health care in SC, but he is a representative of this state and supposed to be an advocate for the people in this state. Living here in SC, Sumter County, I can honestly say that the health coverage here BLOWS. I constantly hear stories of health care nightmares and denied claims. Granted this is probably minor, but I have to drive 2.5 hours to a dentist to have my wisdom teeth pulled because my insurance won't pay for the local oral surgeon because he isn't in their network. Like I said this is a minor inconvenience compared to others who don't have health care at all - an unfortunately large portion of this area. The local clinic that serves most of the lower income families is overworked and overcrowded with patients lowering the standard of health care.
Ok...off my soapbox. General point, DeMint is a moron and if he thinks that he could defeat Pres. Obama in a debate, I expect to be cleaning up the flying pigs crap from my lawn.
