Palin Blames Obama (and Rahm) for Troubles
Edited on Thu Jul-09-09 03:44 PM by wyldwolf
Jay Newton-Small, who interviewed Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) for this week's Time magazine, notes that "one of the most interesting aspects of the story is how vehemently the Palin camp blames Barack Obama" for her troubles. "That's the way they think about it: that these Alaskans filing ethics complaints have been hoodwinked by Obama operatives into wasting the Alaskan government's time and resources."

Palin aide Meg Stapleton said, "A lot of this comes from Washington, D.C. The trail is pretty direct and pretty obvious to us."

She goes on to argue that "the anti-Palin offensive seems lifted straight from The Thumpin', which describes the political strategies of Rahm Emanuel, who is now the White House chief of staff."

I guess a few more copies of The Thumpin' are gonna move this week.

3. Nobody care that much - someone asked Chuck Todd today if the subject of Palin came up @G8
Edited on Thu Jul-09-09 04:21 PM by DeschutesRiver
He smiled, and said no, just from Obama and that was only in response to a question that he asked Obama. Said Obama sounded a bit bemused, but was polite and said something about how much her supporters like her (bad paraphrasing - he just said non harmful nonsense in response, basically). Chuck said the WH staffers are befuddled as to why anyone cares about Palin or what she says (paraphrasing a lot again here).

Big fat zero - no one with a mind or a soul has given a shit about Palin since last year, and she is now about to find out that she is stunningly irrelevant without that stupid Gov. title. Yeah, her base rallies around her - like an aging, irrelevant, past his/her prime rock or tv star who is propped up by their fans. Her "base" is now nothing more than a Fan Club.

If anyone could make a single move that destroys their political future and relevancy, like quitting her rookie term as Gov., and not even realize yet that she has ended her political career aspirations for high office, it would make sense that it would be Ms. Palin.

"Pulling a Palin", indeed.

6. The same Obama who's over the FBI?
The same FBI that said last week it wasn't investigating her in an effort to quash rumors that had been floating around cyber space for a grand total of 12 hours?

Ok Sarah, sure thing.

8. Oh god, someone give her a cup for that whine.
What a whining pain in the ass. She is like an overgrown teeny-bopper with a major attitude problem. And to think she had the audacity to say that Hillary was a whiner.

17. Such a narcissist, Obama knew from the start she wasn't ready.
http://www.vanityfair.com/politics/features/2009/08/sarah-palin200908?currentPage=2

At least one savvy politician—Barack Obama—believed Palin would never have time to get up to speed. He told his aides that it had taken him four months to learn how to be a national candidate, and added, “I don’t care how talented she is, this is really a leap.”
