PHOTO Gooooooooooooooooool!
Edited on Thu Jul-09-09 08:14 AM by Jackeens

U.S. President Barack Obama holds a soccer jersey given to him by Brazil's President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva before a round table session at the G8 summit in L'Aquila, Italy July 9, 2009. Leaders from the Group of Eight major industrial nations and the main developing economies will hold talks from July 8-10.

L'AQUILA, ITALY -- Brazilian President Brazil's President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, nicknamed "Lula," took some time during his meeting with President Obama Thursday morning to razz him about his country's defeat of the U.S. in last months Confederation Cup soccer match.

Chatting with the president in Portuguese, in remarks overheard by reporters, Lula spoke enthusiastically about the match, repeatedly using President Obama's catch phrase "Yes we can."

......"Hey, look at this," the president said. "Beautiful. Alright, wonderful. I like that."

During the private meeting, White House press secretary Robert Gibbs said, President Obama told Lula, "and next time we won't give up a 2-to-nothing lead."

1. Yes We Can ....... score!
Lula told Obama his "Yes, we can" slogan was inspirational and the president accepted Lula's gift, saying: "Hey, look at this - beautiful. All right, wonderful. I like that."

U.S. President Barack Obama picks up a bottle of water that rolled towards him before a family photo during the G8 summit in L'Aquila, Italy July 9, 2009. Leaders of the world's richest nations and major developing powers meet on Thursday to seek common ground on global warming and international trade, with the poorer countries seeking concessions.

Vote for Obama in '12! He's Tidy!!!

15. Wow...neat pics...but my paranoid button just went off when I looked at it.
He should have never picked that bottle up, nor should it have even been allowed to roll that close to him. Maybe I need to knock off the spy novels. :silly: Probably an over-reaction on my part, but I worry about his safety often. Too many nuts out there, and not enough nut-crackers.

14. And there's the cutest protest in the history of mankind....
First they made the food....

(cracks me up that they've always gotta get the mole in!)

And today they ATE the food....

Then they had a toga party...

I swear, if I was Michelle, I'd be talking to the Secret Service trying to figure out a way to get that giant Obama head on the plane. I'd have to have it. lol
