Obama Weekly Job Approval by Demographic Groups per Gallup
Edited on Wed Jul-08-09 11:16 PM by Jennicut

His approval by liberal Dems....92% in the last few week.
Of course, its just polling data only from Gallup.
Conservative Rethugs...16%. To be expected.

1. 57% in the South.....
.... aint too shabby!

And you gotta love those numbers among the 20 somethings and African Americans. I can TESTIFY to the fact that if you say anything negative about Barack Obama within the walls of a predominantly African American church, you WILL get smacked in the MOUTH by your granny and her best friend.

I've SEEN it happen! lol ..... I'm not kidding, put their Bibles down and just smack you clear across the face! :)

12. Gen X'ers range into the mid-40's, like me
And no, we aren't any more confused than any other generation, before or since.

3. And another thing that's interesting....
Edited on Wed Jul-08-09 11:29 PM by Clio the Leo
.... if you remove the identifiers of "ethnicity", party and those darned church goers (ha ha) which are naturally very polarizing stats. ..... his support is very even among other demographic variables. Where he has support, it transcends most of the ways in which we divide ourselves.

I think that's something he'd be proud of.

7. But a funny thing about polls.......
Edited on Wed Jul-08-09 11:32 PM by Clio the Leo
.... and by polls I mean here on DU, his support here is still very high. For example, if I made a poll that said "Do you approve of Barack Obama's job thus far?" you'd see that the overwhelming majority of those who answer are very happy.

The percentage of those who aren't happy is MUCH smaller than the percentage of negative OPs about him on any given day. As I always say, "loud" does not automatically equal "populous."

5. But the DU Purity Police keep on telling us that he's losing the
base. I mean, it's not a day that goes by without them telling us that their personal disapproval of Obama is evidence of his failure.
