Iowa Caucus Results 2012: Romney 27%, Huckabee 19%, Gingrich 9%, Palin 4%, Thune 3%
OK... it's way off. But by the time the Republican primary season begins in earnest in 2011, the campaign strategies from former Governors' Romney and Huckabee will make sure that Sarah Palin's quitting her post while Governor are plastered in the minds of Republican voters.

The cold, brutal Winter of 2011 leading into the Iowa caucus in 2012 will be hell for Sarah Palin.

If she does run (which I think she will due to her ego), she will get repeatedly pulverized by the Republican establishment from all sides, including Fox News. You won't be able to avoid the TV ads that have her smirking with big, bold letters across her face that say "QUITTER". By then, the Republican party will feel that she is not only a flawed candidate, but caucus voters in Iowa will have grown very tired of her. You can bet that Romney and Huckabee will use all their political tools to take her down... starting in August and getting into Nuclear Mode by December.

New Hampshire Republicans will find her repulsive and unelectable and her campaign will fizzle perhaps even before the first Iowa caucus votes get counted. She will be pretty much told to stay off stage from that point on.

I seriously don't think we have to worry about having to deal with Sarah Palin except perhaps when she sits in on Hannity's insane talk show and maybe some fill-in radio gigs when Rush Limbaugh is on vacation chimping down on some OxyContin and getting his butt spanked by giggling Haitian prostitutes, who will eventually infect him with STDS.

She'll be on Larry King and the Morning News shows pimping her book, which will be a scatological disaster. Her audio book version will be a hit... for people that want a lot of laughs at her expense.

Alright then... putting the crystal ball back...

2. Jeb might have an exploratory committee in early 2011 and bail out by July
Edited on Wed Jul-08-09 10:53 PM by zulchzulu
Jeb knows his brother cooked his campaign hopes for President.

If you listen to Republicans walking back on their support for Dubya these days, having the chunkier out-of-office Jeb showing up at the poor pleading for votes would just be too cruel to watch.

Jeb is better suited at whatever his old man gave him as a gig and sitting out on the Presidential race...

..... that, WORST case scenario, the economy doesn't improve as we'd expected and the stupid independants dont begin to opine for the glory days of yore when everyone's favorite sweet and loveable buffoon was in the WH?

7. The last name "Bush" will be even more radioactive than "Palin" in 2011
The last thing the Republicans want to do in trying to play the "Party of change" is to nominate or support ANOTHER BUSH... sure, Jeb would have some support but his campaign hopes nationally are about as barren as Palin's will be.
