If he could insinuate himself into the local political scene as some kind of regressive self parody of a Bible-thumping war monger, he could never out Palin the mistress of political camp, Bible Spice/Caribou Barbie, etc.

I would love to see the crowds lap up his red meat chants like "Drill baby Drill!" or when talking about Al Queda "Kill baby Kill!"

If he could maintain legitimacy long enough to show people how far off the beam they've gone....nah. Some people are beyond reason. But it would be funnier than hell. Until the guns come out.

1. Unfortunately I think he's too recognizable now.
That would be perfect though. :)

7. They still call themselves teabaggers.
Sarah Palin still has an 80% republican approval rating.

They just don't get it.

14. I don't know...I thought that after "Borat"
that Cohen would never be able to make a movie like it again. Then came "Bruno".

So I'm done underestimating the stupidity of the American public.

3. Between Pirelli the barber, Ali G., Borat and his other parts i think he is very good at disguise.

This is a fantastic idea.

11. I dunno if he follows DU, but this is full of WIN.
The poutrage could turn it into a blockbuster, with FOX giving him daily complaints/coverage for months.

12. One Problem
He isn't a US Citizen. If he was a US Citizen and could legit change his name, he could pull this off.

I can see him running for a local office and going door to door with GOP lists very easily. Central PA would be a great back drop.
