Mark Sanford - why don't you take the advice you gave Clinton when he was caught.....
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/06/24/sanford-was-harsh-critic_n_220325.html

This is "very damaging stuff," Sanford declared at one point, when details of Clinton's conduct became known. "I think it would be much better for the country and for him personally (to resign)... I come from the business side," he said. "If you had a chairman or president in the business world facing these allegations, he'd be gone."

Explaining his decision to back impeachment articles against Clinton, he added, "I think what he did in this matter was reprehensible... I feel very comfortable with my vote."

18. Aloha Cha!
It's going well, thanks! It takes awhile for summer to "kick in" in Portland, but once it does, it's gorgeous! I'm in a clear-stuff-out-of-the-house mode, too, so that's a good feeling (although my kids are getting rid of lots of toys and it feels like we're getting rid of part of their childhoods *sigh*).I'm looking forward to more hanging-out-by-the-public pool days, some lake and river and beach visits, some camping and a trip to Colorado to visit relatives and probably a trip to Vancouver, B.C. (never been there -- can't wait!). Oh, and my son made the all-star Little League team, so I guess more baseball is in my future. How about you?

:hi: :pals: :bounce:

8. Yeah, he only lied to his wife, his children, his office staff, his constituency...
and just about everyone else BUT, damn, at least he didn't lie to a grand jury about something that had NOTHING to do with the case before it!

Whew, good thing he is only a hypocritical scumbag who votes to control other American's lives while living a lie himself, is only a homophobic asshole.

11. What about dereliction of duty?
He put the entire state in danger by running off and not putting the Lieutenant Governor in charge.
Clinton never endangered the country.

expedition and find something for him to lie about. Therein lies the difference.

10. Gay Marriage
This is clearly the fault of gay marriage. It weakened the strength of Govt. Sanford's marriage. If the gays weren't getting married, kissing, hugging and other stuff, Mark would not have cheated.

14. Here are a couple more salient quotes from Sanford -
Quote from Stanford about President Clinton from 1999:

“The issue of lying is probably the biggest harm, if you will, to the system of Democratic government, representatives government, because it undermines trust. And if you undermine trust in our system, you undermine everything.” -

Here's another gem about Congressman Livingston:

“The bottom line, though, is I am sure there will be a lot of legalistic explanations pointing out that the president lied under oath. His situation was not under oath. The bottom line, though, is he still lied. He lied under a different oath, and that is the oath to his wife. So it’s got to be taken very, very seriously.”
