Even though Obama's Mom might have been in Hawaii, when Obama was born, he was with his dad in Kenya.

is that since Obama's FATHER was both Kenyan AND in Kenya when Barack Obama was born, therefore Obama is Kenyan, no matter where he and his mother were at the time of birth (Hawaii, a state at the time), Barack is not a US citizen.

All based on the notion that "Citizenship follows the father in US law"... which, of course, is complete nonsense.

I studied in the USSR in 1976 on a US USSR exchange program. Beer (really potent stuff) was sold in little carts on every street corner in the morning, so people could kill their vodka hangovers. (we had 18 students, and sharing was important).

Some newcomers, guilty that they came to the party with empty hands (a very unSoviet move) went to the state liquor stores and bought out their domestic gin supply. The USSR used the same bottles for milk as they used for vodka and gin. Essentially a glass tube with a coated cardboard bottom.

I then learned:

a. Soviet ggggggg gin is about one molecule away from turpentine
b. counting floor tiles on the way to the WC is best done with your nose, when Gin monsters appear
c. soviet gin hangovers are far, far, FAR worse than any other possible self-inflicted injury. Even smashing your big toe with a sledge hammer would be fun in comparison. Had I had a loaded gun, I would not have shot myself, only because the pain of squeezing the trigger would have taken too much effort.
d. never book a local soviet cross country train and sit on a converted church pew, with no ventilation, with no deodorant, no liquids, in a converted cattle car so crowded that my knees were stuck on the crotch of the people sitting opposite of me.
e. gin takes a long time to master. Or in my case, when the GOP suddenly becomes a bright liberal party concerned with the rights of the poor, the afflicted, the tired, and the ill.
