Hmmmm, war or health care? Putting the costs in perspective

Total Cost of Wars Since 2001

McCain: CBO Estimate ‘Wake Up Call For All Of Us To Scrap The Current Bill And Start Over’

In his rather bizarre floor speech, McCain called for greater bipartisanship in crafting health care reform legislation but then demanded to see the administration’s bill and re-introduced his campaign health care proposal, which, despite being rejected by all of the major stakeholders, McCain promised would be enacted “within weeks.”

Obviously, McCain and the pro-death GOP believes it's OK to spend $120 billion annually to wage an illegal war that resulted in the deaths of more than 4,000 U.S. soldiers and hundreds of thousands of Iraqis, but to spend the same amount on health care for all Americans is unthinkable.

1. Jeez, why can't we have both?
Rec'd. The solution is obvious as shown by your charts. End the war! It's the FIRST thing to do.

2. War leads to better movies and art

So in the long run, its a good investment.

We can't make compelling movies about being in the trenches of the administrative branch of the Health Department. "Saving Health Czar Ryan" doesn't have much of a ring.

As a bonus, the more people that die in war, the cheaper health care becomes!
